How the Census Works

There is strength in numbers. Census numbers directly impact funding for communities in the areas of education, food and healthcare.

In March, each household will be receiving a unique identification number in the mail from the United States Census Bureau which you will use when completing the census. You can participate online, by phone or by mail using the unique identification number you received in the mail. You will answer up to nine questions for each person in the household.

It’s that simple!
