Self-Determination Training to Take Place on June 9 in Traverse City


SamirGrand Traverse RICC is teaming up with Michigan Partners for Freedom to host a Self-Determination Workshop from 10am-3pm on June 9, 2014 at Northern Lakes Community Mental Health in Traverse City. The training is FREE, and will focus on:

  • Defining Self-Determination

  • Controlling One's Future

  • Directing Supports

  • Self-Advocacy

The workshop is geared toward individuals with disabilities who would like to learn how to confidently express their needs, wants, and goals for their future. Funding for this training is provided by Michigan Developmental Disabilities Council, The Arc Michigan, and Disability Network.
