21st Century Education Commission members are interested in hearing from Michiganders about how we can work together to improve our state’s education systems. To gather input, the Commission has organized three listening tour stops, the third of which will take place in Northern Michigan. These stops are designed to gather direct input from Michigan's residents on the current state of Michigan’s education, the education systems citizens envision, and how we can work together to close the gap between the two. This input will help shape the Commission's final report and set of recommendations, which will be released on February 28, 2017.
Persons with disabilities needing accommodations for effective participation in this meeting should contact Laura Stoken at 517-241-5415 or via email at mieducationcommission@michigan.gov by December 28 in order to request mobility, visual, hearing or other assistance. Requests received after that date cannot be guaranteed, but efforts will be made to provide the accommodation requested.
Please note: Due to space limitations, registration will be capped at 150 attendees. Please bring a photo ID consistent with the name you used to register so you can gain access to the school.
