Disability Network is excited to share a virtual social group celebrating all types of online games. This group meets online from 2:30 pm to 5:30 p.m. EST on Thursdays. Note: This group will not meet on June 9. Currently, the Virtual Gaming Social Group is hoping to play any and every game that people enjoy. From board games like Carcassonne and Saboteur to free cross-platform games like Among Us, Brawlhalla, Fortnite, Rocket League and Dauntless, we like to try out a wide variety of games. This is a three hour group moderated by Disability Network staff.
To play these games, you will need the following:
-A working internet connection.
-A personal email address. Once you have an email address, please send a message to firstname.lastname@example.org.
-For video games, you will need a working computer, or current-gen gaming system that can play online with others.
-For board games, you will need a device that can browse websites (such as a computer, phone or tablet).
-A Discord account (you can register for an account at https://discord.com/).
-Already downloaded games that everyone can play.
-Completed Disability Network paperwork. Disability Network staff will email you a copy of the paperwork that needs to be completed to participate in the Accessible Gaming Social Group. After that paperwork is filled out by you or a family member, please email it back. This paperwork can be filled out on a computer or phone. Disability Network staff will also discuss what gaming systems you have and current gaming group details.
